AFI has been commissioned by The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufdir) to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the initiative "Interdisciplinary Health Assessment (THK)."
Interdisciplinary Health Assessment (THK) is a specialized initiative at the secondary level of the governmental support system, which is a more specialized part of the support system, aimed at identifying the health, care, and support needs of children who are removed from their homes due to neglect.
Our evaluation aims to uncover the effectiveness of the initiative by examining:
- Whether it provides child welfare services with sufficient information about the children's health, care, and support needs.
- Whether the children receive more precise help and follow-up, tailored to their health, care, and support needs.
- Whether it contributes to a more stable care situation with a reduced risk of unintended relocations.
This evaluation will assess the initiative's impact both at the individual and service levels, with measurements at various points in time. The main goal is to evaluate the initiative's utility and quality, with the aim of optimizing service delivery.
