EndNote
EndNote is a software program that helps you organise and cite your sources in a text.
For students: Install or update EndNote (student.oslomet.no).
For employees: Install or update EndNote via Software Center.
Important before installation
- Close every Office software (including Outlook) before you install EndNote.
- Uninstall older versions of EndNote before installing a new version.
- For Windows users: Unpack every file before the installation. The license and the installation file needs to be in the same folder. You have not unpacked all the files if you get questions about the license or the product key during installation.
About the 2025 version of EndNote at OsloMet
EndNote can be used safely at OsloMet.
If you choose to synchronize your library to the cloud, usage data is recorded.
The AI (artificial intelligence) functions mean that uploaded content can be processed by the provider.
Please also be aware that AI responses may contain errors and must be quality assured.
The provider may use usage data for statistics and service improvement.
It is also recommended to use a permanent email address to maintain access to the library over time and for password recovery.
