I am an intensive care nurse and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing Science, Acute and Critical Illness. Here, I supervise master’s students in emergency, anaesthesia, paediatrics, intensive care, and operating theatre nursing—primarily in intensive care nursing—on project descriptions and master’s theses. I also teach subjects related to intensive care nursing and intensive care medicine.

I am a member of the research group Acute Critically Ill and Injured at OsloMet and Clinical Intensive Care Medicine at Oslo University Hospital, Department of Emergencies and critical care.

I continue to practise clinically as an intensive care nurse at the Rikshospitalet, Oslo University Hospital.

I am Deputy Chair of the Nordic Association for Research in Intensive Care Nursing (NOFI) and a Management Committee member of a COST Action network called Patient SAFety Related Outcome Measures in European ICUs (SAFE ICU).

My research areas include pain during and after intensive care treatment, outcomes in intensive care patients, working conditions for intensive care nurses, and simulation based learning. I conduct both quantitative and qualitative research.

PhD title: Pain, symptoms and health-related quality of life in intensive care survivors (UiO 2019).
