About

Camilla Ringkjøbing Jensen is a PhD Candidate in the language subject pedagogy Norwegian at Oslo Metropolitan University where she teaches children's literature. She holds an Erasmus Mundus Master's degree in Children's Literature, Media and Culture, a Master's degree in Pedagogical Sciences in Youth (0-21), Society and Policy, and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics.  Her PhD project is a comparative classroom study of Norwegian and Danish students' responses to picturebooks about refugees and war.  Her research interests include children’s and young adult literature, visual literacy, reader response, critical and postcolonial theory, decolonial and anti-colonial perspectives, Nordic exceptionalism, critical pedagogy, critical human rights and citizenship educaiton.

She is a member of the Nordic Research School for Educational Research (NORED) at the University of Bergen, an external member of the Entangled Colonialities Collective at Aarhus University, and the Association for Research on Children’s Literature in English in Norway (ARCLEN) at NTNU.
