About

Natália Costa is a psychologist and an early career researcher (ECR) at the Department of Early Childhood Education at the Faculty of Education and International Studies at OsloMet. She has completed her PhD at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, on the theme of infants’ locomotor exploration throughout their transition experience to ECEC services. Her work is underpinned by a cultural-historical framework and systemic views. Her research interests include development and pedagogies with infants and toddlers, visual and creative methods, embodiment, interactions, sociocultural processes in development and education as well as spatiality and materiality in ECEC. She is currently a primary member of the Methodological developments in kindergarten and education research group and a secondary member at the Cultural Diversity and Multilingualism in a Global Perspective group.
