A central task for the group is the study of welfare state services. This includes public service provision in areas such as labor and welfare, education, and family.
We examine the organization, trials, and reforms of services and initiatives, focusing both on the effects of the efforts made and on the mechanisms that create these effects. Good research requires methodological diversity. The group has extensive qualitative and quantitative expertise, as well as significant experience with experimental methods and the development of knowledge summaries.
Our research is primarily funded by the Research Council of Norway and through projects for ministries and directorates.
