Contingent life courses (C-LIFE): Tracing health and welfare in the Nordic countries

C‑LIFE is a project funded by NordForsk, with the main objective of establishing a Nordic comparative register‑based dataset for research on welfare, health, and employment in the Nordic countries

Although the links between health, social conditions, and work are well established, we know relatively little about how they are influenced by welfare and labour market policies from a life-course perspective. Here, Nordic register data can provide important new insights relevant to key societal challenges, such as the sustainability of the welfare state and growing inequalities in income and health.
