The Consequences of Growing up in Low-income Families

This project will do a review of existing research on the consequences of growing up in low-income families in Norway.

Through a literature review the project will produce a cross-disciplinary knowledge base of how and to what degree low income and poor living conditions affect children's development through early childhood, schooling, youth and the transition to adulthood.

The project will focus on the timing and duration of exposure to low-income as well as family-relations, health, neighbourhood, housing, social participation, education and transition to work.
