The project is the Norwegian part of a collaborative project in which researchers from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden are conducting nationwide questionnaire surveys on the everyday lives and conditions of elderly care from the perspective of care workers.
The researchers conducted a similar survey among employees in elderly care in the Nordic countries – first in 2005 (NORD-care 1) and then in 2015 (NORD-care 2).
The surveys included questions about work content, the conditions under which the work is performed and what kind of views the care staff have on their work and working conditions.
Together with sub-studies from Denmark, Finland and Sweden, this sub-study will contribute to providing knowledge about Norwegian elderly care, similarities and differences between Nordic countries, as well as trends in Nordic elderly care over three decades.
