Parenting and Youth Sports: Inequality in Young People’s Leisure Time Activities?

The focus of this project is how parents influence young people's leisure activities.

In this project, we aim to gain knowledge about how resources in the family – such as parents’ emotional, cultural and economic capital – shape youths’ possibilities for participation in leisure activities. 

The study is based on interviews with young people and their parents in the qualitative longitudinal project Inequality in Youth. 

The project is a collaboration with Save the Children and funded by Stiftelsen Dam.
