Vitenskapsteori dreier seg om systematiske studier av vitenskapelig kunnskap og -aktivitet. I dette emnet rettes oppmerksomheten mot den del av vitenskapsteorien som dreier seg om samfunnsvitenskapene.

    Dette emnet er primært for studenter som er tatt opp i ph.d.-program. Ved ledige plasser er emnet åpent for andre interesserte med relevant hovedfag eller mastergrad (120 ECTS).

    Dersom du er tatt opp på ett ph.d.-program utenfor OsloMet må du laste opp dokumentasjon på opptak.

    All undervisning gjennomføres fra kl. 10:00 til 15:00, og krever fysisk oppmøte.

    Undervisningsspråk: Engelsk. 

  • Undervisningsplan

    Undervisningen består av en kombinasjon av forelesning og gruppearbeid fortløpende. Studentene får utdelt problemstillinger de skal diskutere i gruppene underveis.

    Dag 1

    Hva er vitenskapsteori?

    Vitenskapelig begrunnelse, deduksjon og aksiomatisk metode, HDM, induksjon, slutning til beste forklaring, Bayesianisme, falsifikasjonisme, logisk positivisme, Quine-Duhem tesen, Kuhns paradigmebegrep, vitenskapelig objektivitet, vitenskap og verdier.
