The researchers investigate how artificial intelligence (AI) can support safe, clinically integrated and personalized follow-up between healthcare consultations for treatment-seeking children and adolescents with obesity and their families.
The project team will develop the scientific, clinical and technical foundation for a safe and personalized artificial intelligence-supported service module for treatment-seeking children and adolescents with obesity and their families.
The aim is to strengthen continuity of care between consultations and tailor support more closely to the child’s everyday life, needs and health literacy. Together with children, parents and clinicians, the researchers will define relevant use cases, roles, data use, clinical workflows, safety and governance requirements.
The work builds on existing technology and research-based knowledge on obesity treatment, communication with children, motivation and health literacy, and will prepare for subsequent development, feasibility testing and clinical evaluation.
This project is part of the strategic research area Future Health and Care Services.
