I am an associate professor at the Department of Nursing and Health Promotion, Faculty of Health Sciences. My main research interests are surgical treatment of severe obesity, obesity-related comorbidities and quality of life. I am affiliated to the project FatWest - Bariatric Surgery on the West Coast of Norway. I manage a bachelor's course in pathology, teach and supervise students at bachelor's and master's level in topics related to health and quality of life. I am a member of the Quality of Life research group at Oslo Metropolitan University and a board member of the national research network LIVSFORSK.
