SCILLED will study professional development and lifelong learning among female migrant healthcare workers in Scandinavia.
Europe has long prioritised increasing lifelong learning (LLL) participation among adults aged 25 to 64 to foster sustainable growth and inclusivity. Despite these efforts, many countries have yet to meet their targets.
With the support of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, SCILLED will examine LLL implementation in the healthcare sector across Denmark, Norway and Sweden from a comparative perspective.
The study will focus on gender and migration, exploring the experiences of female migrant healthcare workers, vital contributors to Europe’s socio-demographic landscape.
The replicable pilot research builds on a holistic view of LLL, linking academic and non-academic fields of work. Project findings will be exploited through a co-created podcast series that involves the SCILLED research participants as protagonists of the production and stimulates science diffusion from citizens for citizens.
SCILLED is funded by the European Union under grant agreement number 101208451.
