Forskningsinteressene mine inkluderer språktesting og vurdering, undervisning / læring, lærerutdanning, materialdesign og evaluering, differensiert instruksjon, flerspråklig og fjernundervisning og læringsvansker. Jeg er redaktør og forfatter av flere bind, journalpapirer og bokkapitler og koordinator for Classroom-based Language Assessment SIG - EALTA og Evaluering and Vurdering FoU på OsloMet. Jeg koordinerer og deltar for tiden i forskningsprosjekter om andrespråksvurderingkompetanse (TALE på www.taleproject.eu), identifiserer språklige parametere som redegjør for fremskritt i ferdigheter i tester i høy grad og autentisk språkinnsamling i flerspråklige sammenhenger (ENRICH og PALM på www.enrichproject.eu and www.palm-edu.eu/en/) og andre, f.e. DINGLE/DAAD, TRIBES/COST, og så videre.
