About

I am a Manual Therapist and Professor in Musculoskeletal Health at the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Health Technology, and member of the research group Aging, Health and Welfare (AHW). I am particularly interested in within women’s health, aging and persistent musculoskeletal pain. My research projects are mainly based on epidemiological data from population-based health studies (The Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study, the HUNT Survey, and the Tromsø study) with linkage to national health registries. I also use data from 500 000 women in the Norwegian breast cancer screening program to study factors associated with timing of menopause and the consequences for health of having an early or late menopause. My teaching activities at Oslo Metropolitan University are mainly within quantitative research methods and musculoskeletal health.
