I am a Manual Therapist and Professor in Musculoskeletal Health at the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Health Technology, and member of the research group Aging, Health and Welfare (AHW). I am praticularly interested in women’s health, aging and chronic musculoskeletal pain. My research projects are mainly based on epidemiological data from population-based health studies (The Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study, the Tromsø Study, and the HUNT Survey) with linkage to national health registries. I also use data from 500 000 women in the Norwegian breast cancer screening program to study factors associated with timing of menopause and consequences for health and function of having an early or late menopause. My teaching activities at Oslo Metropolitan University are mainly within quantitative research methods, musculoskeltal health, and aging. I also supervise PhD and master students.
