About
Simon Simchai Hansen is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Education and International Studies (LUI) at OsloMet, where he also teaches Religious Education (KRLE).
His doctoral project is titled AIDE: AI-Driven Exploration in Religious Education (norwegian: KIDU: Kunstig intelligens-drevet utforskning i tverrfaglige prosjekter med KRLE). This is a pedagogical design research project that investigates how artificial intelligence (AI) can function as both an agent and an educational dialogue partner for lower secondary school students in inquiry-based learning processes. The project is part of the larger research initiative RomForsk: Exploratory Learning with Virtual Spaces in Religious and Ethics Education at OsloMet.
Simon holds a master’s degree from the primary teacher education program (grades 1–7) at OsloMet, where he wrote his thesis on the use of VR in ethics/moral education.
