Dr. Nurul Momen er førsteamanuensis og underviser i forskjellige områder av informatikk. Forskningsfokuset hans ligger innenfor området cybersikkerhet, personvernteknikk, personvernforbedrende teknologier, åpenhet, brukervennlighet, mobilkommunikasjon, mobil databehandling, identitetsadministrasjon, databeskyttelse og tilgangskontroll for operativsystemer. Forskningsprofilene hans er tilgjengelige på Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com) og den svenske DIVA-portalen (http://diva-portal.org/).

Dr. Momen har en doktorgrad i informatikk fra Karlstad universitet, Sverige. Tidligere har han mottatt M.Sc. i anvendt informasjonssikkerhet og personvern fra EIT Digital dobbeltgraders masterprogram ved det tekniske universitetet i Berlin, Tyskland, og ved universitetet i Trento, Italia.
