About
Stine Engebretsen is an emergency nurse and researcher with a PhD in medicine and health sciences from UiO. She is coordinator for the specialization in emergency nursing in the Master`s Programme in Advanced Practice Nursing to Acute and Critically Ill Patients. She is responsible for the courses MASAK5000 Emergency medicine and MASAK5100 Emergency nursing, and coordinates the work on master's theses in the course MASY5900 for the specialization in emergency nursing. Topics for teaching: Emergency nursing and emergency department, triage, systematic assessment, patient flow and logistics, crowding, quantitative methods.
The research focus on emergency response team to critically ill patients and delirium in the elderly patients in the emergency department. I have experience with quantitative methods (register data and survey). I am currently co-supervisor for two PhD students.
