Professor ved institutt for fysioterapi, fakultet for helsevitenskap, OsloMet og ved institutt for klinisk og molekylærmedisin, NTNU. Forsker på barn med lav fødselsvekt og langtidskonsekvenser av å være født for tidlig. Underviser og veileder studenter på master- og PhD-nivå. Leder forskningsgruppen NTNU Low Birth Weight Life ved NTNU og har utstrakt internasjonalt samarbeid i nettverket Adults born Preterm International Collaboration (APIC) og EU-prosjektet Research on Children and Adolescents born Preterm (RECAP preterm).
