My main research areas are in the fields of exercise, physical activity, health and clinical rehabilitation. Currently, I do research on people with cardiac disease, stroke, transfemoral amputations and musculoskeletal diseases.
I am head of the research group "Clinical interventions and biomedical engineering" (CiB) which is an interdisiplinary reseach group spanning physicists, orthopeadic engineers, physiotherapists, medical doctors and exercise physiologists.
