About

Judith Schröder is a nurse and a Ph.D. candidate in the project CHIP homeTec - Health technology in home-based palliative care for children, an evidence-based approach. The project aims to develop an evidence-based protocol for technological solutions in home-based pediatric palliative care, with the goal of improving the quality of life for children and their families and reducing hospital admissions. Judiths research focuses on understanding the needs of healthcare professionals providing home-based pediatric palliative care, whether technology can meet these needs, and in what ways.

Having extensive clinical experience in pediatric departments at several university hospitals, Judith possesses a deep understanding of the practical challenges faced during day-to-day operations. At the Department of Pediatrics, Akershus University Hospital, she worked as a clinical and research nurse, focusing on patient safety. Here, she contributed to the development of PedSAFE - an educational and training curriculum catering to healthcare professionals providing care to children. In the years leading up to her PhD, she was the head of studies for the first year of nursing education at Oslo Metropolitan University.
