Sissel Hovik

About

Political scientist from the University of Oslo, with a Dr. polit degree from 2001. Between 1986 and 2009, she worked as a researcher at Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research. From 2009 employed at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences as an associated professor in organization and management, from May 2015 as a professor.
Key research interests are 1) Central – local relations, decentralization and local implementation of national environmental policy, 2) Local nature resource management. Studies of local governance and institutional design in relation to sustainable management of common pool resources and 3) Meta governance and collaborative management of multi level governance networks in environmental policy and planning.
Teaching in public policy and administration, collaborative management and social science methods.
