About

I am a professor in organization and management at Oslo Business School at Oslo Metropolitan University, linked to the division of Public Administration and Governance. I obtained my Dr.polit degree in political science at the University of Oslo in 2001. Between 1986 and 2009, I was employed as a researcher at Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research.

I teach public policy, collaboration and governance. My fields of research are network governance, multilevel governance, and participation and democracy. My thematic interests are environment and natural resource management, and urban governance and development.

Recently I have studied citizen participation in urban development in the digital age, i.e., how ICT and new social media can enhance participation. Furthermore, I research preconditions for and effects of public policy reforms implying mandated collaboration between central, regional and local government.
