About
I am an Associate Professor of Social Work at the Department of Social Work. I am a trained social worker with extensive experience from various positions within child welfare services. I also hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and a PhD from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Oslo, where I conducted a comparative study of professional responsibility in social work and nursing.
My areas of interest include teaching and qualitative research in social work and child welfare. I teach, among other topics, how social work can be practiced in contexts characterized by superdiversity. I have contributed to several textbooks, including a foundational volume in social work that is used in the education of social workers across Norway.
I am currently engaged in an ongoing research project focusing on the development of professional skills in social work education.
