Mitt hovedfagområde er spesialsykepleie til barn, med særlig kompetanse innen kvalitative forskningsmetoder. Min forskning har vært rettet mot barn med komplekse helseutfordringer og behov for langvarig oppfølging, inkludert rehabilitering etter ervervet hjerneskade, oppfølging ved ryggmargsskade, samt problemstillinger knyttet til bruk av tvang i behandling av barn. Jeg har også arbeidet med utvikling og evaluering av digitale og tverrfaglige oppfølgingsløsninger.

Jeg har bidratt til utvikling av ny kunnskap om barns og familiers erfaringer i helsetjenesten, med særlig vekt på pasient- og pårørendeperspektiver. Mine faglige bidrag har særlig styrket forståelsen av hvordan komplekse rehabiliteringsforløp kan tilpasses barns og familiers behov, samt hvordan digitale intervensjoner kan bidra til økt tilgjengelighet og kvalitet i oppfølgingen.
