Maja Nordtug har en ph.d. i medievitenskap fra Syddansk Universitet. Med utgangspunkt i kvalitative metoder jobber Nordtug med forskning som handler om medier og helse. Hun har tidligere forsket på mediebruk i forbindelse med vaksinebeslutninger og digitale konsultasjoner mellom pasient og lege. For tiden jobber hun på et prosjekt om AV1, en robot som er særlig tiltenkt barn som ikke kan være på skolen i lengre perioder.
