Jeg tilhører gruppen for medisinsk teknologi og underviser faget medisinsk instrumentering for bachelor i ingeniørstudenter. Vi er forøvrig den eneste institusjonen i Norge som utdanner medisinsk teknologi ingeniører.

Jeg er leder av optisk/NIRS lab og min forskning fokuserer på anvendelse av medisinske sensorer spesielt bruk av nærinfrarød lys for å måle perfusjon i vev. I det siste har jeg fokusert på fNIRS målinger i hjernen. I samarbeid med bevegelses analyse lab er jeg opptatt av analyser og undersøkelser innenfor kardiovaskulær fysiologi og energiomsetning relatert til aktivitet med bruk av fNIRS teknologi.
