About
I am a Professor of Law at the Oslo Business School, Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet). I have a PhD in law from the University of Oslo (2010) and was a postdoctoral research fellow there between 2010 and 2014. I also have a Doctor of Laws (LLD) from the University of Malta (1993) and an LLM from the University of Southampton, England (1994). I am qualified to practice law in both Norway and Malta.
I have been fascinated by the interplay of law and IT for over 20 years and have worked, thoughout this time, in both academia and private practice, seeking to draw upon the best of both worlds in my research, teaching and practice.
My research interests are privacy and data protection law, contract law, electronic commerce law, consumer protection in the online world, and legal questions linked to the use of Big Data and AI in both the private and public sector.
My teaching duties at OsloMet are primarily in privacy and data protection law, contract law and administrative law.
