Dawit Shawel Abebe is a Professor of Public Health at the Faculty of Health, Department of Nursing and Health Promotion. Dawit has a Ph.D. in Public Health/Epidemiology (2014) from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo. He also received M.Phil in International Community Health (2009) from the University of Oslo and a Master in Nutrition (2006) from the University of Gent, Belgium. His research focuses on immigrant health, development of mental wellbeing, comorbidities between mental disorders and somatic diseases, and global health. His research is based on quantitative research methods.
