About
Lihong Huang has a MA in Pre-school Education (1996) from China, a M.Phil in Comparative and International Education (2002) from University of Oslo in Norway and a PhD in International Education (2005) from Stockholm University in Sweden. Her research mainly focuses on influential factors and long-term consequences of learning results, learning environment, social and psycological welbeing of children and youth in education systems. Her research interests also include issues of policy, economics and social inequality in education and in youth participation in Europe and in international comparison. She has been a member of the Pool of European Youth Researchers (PEYR) 2011-2016 and project leader (NRC) of implementing the International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS 2016) in Norway, a fellow researcher of the national research program on domestic violence - Voldprogramme (2014-2024), and MC member of Norway at COST Action European Network for Environmental Citizenship (2017-2022), an editor of YOUNG - Nordic Journal of Youth Research published by SAGE.
