About
Lise-Kari Berg is an Associate Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet), specializing in arts and crafts education, interdisciplinary teaching, and the development of professional knowledge. Her research interests include embodied learning, practical knowledge, and the role of cultural heritage as a learning arena in schools. She investigates practise and aesthetic learning processes, teachers’ professional enactment, and interdisciplinary approaches in education. Her methodological expertise spans action research, phenomenological-hermeneutic analysis of teacher experiences, and arts-based educational research (ABER).
Lise-Kari is a member of several research groups, including Classroom Research, Design Literacy, Challenging Picturebooks in Education, and Art and Philosophy. Since 2012, she has taught in the primary teacher education program at OsloMet and previously held teaching positions at Nord University. She holds a teacher education degree with a major in arts and crafts and has professional experience from lower secondary education.
