About
I am a Senior Researcher at SIFO, Oslo Metropolitan University. I hold a degree in Sociology from the University of Oslo and a PhD in Social Sciences from OsloMet.
My research examines the drivers and consequences of financial vulnerability in Norway. I have conducted extensive work on young adults’ financial knowledge and competencies, investigating how these shape their financial well-being and the role of schools in delivering financial education.
In addition, I study financially vulnerable groups and their interactions with the credit market, with particular emphasis on the uptake of unsecured debt. I am also interested in expanding this line of research to include vulnerable groups in the housing market.
I have experience with research projects employing experimental and quasi-experimental evaluation designs, particularly within the fields of social work and education. My empirical work draws on both survey and administrative register data, and I primarily conduct analyses in Stata.
