About
Cecilie Thun is an Associate Professor and heads the research group Leadership, Supervision and Organisational Development in the Early Childhood Teacher Education programme at OsloMet. Her research focuses on leadership and organisation in early childhood education and care (ECEC), with particular emphasis on diversity management, organisational culture, gender, power and professional learning communities. Another central area of her research concerns children’s citizenship and notions of Norwegianness, where she analyses how identity, belonging and inclusion are shaped within the ECEC setting as a democratic community. Thun also conducts research on equity and knowledge development in research partnerships between universities/higher education institutions and the early childhood education field.

Diversity leadership in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC)
PhD project exploring how adults without upper secondary education learn their trade, develop a vocational identity, and obtain a trade certificate through the Norwegian practice candidate scheme.

Holistic approach to increased student exchange in early childhood education (HETBLU)
The HETBLU project aims to strengthen the culture for internationalization and increased student exchange at early childhood institutions.
