About
I am an Associate Professor of Vocational Pedagogy at the Department of Vocational Teacher Education where I teach and supervise in the Master’s programme in vocational pedagogy. My research is situated in the field of vocational education and training (VET) and explores how VET is shaped by changes in working life, technology, and society. I am particularly interested in the relationship between school and work, how technological developments transform occupations and qualification requirements, and how such changes influence vocational didactics and teaching practice. More recently, my research has focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on vocational practice, professional competence, and teaching and learning in VET. Part of my work has centred on the education programme Information Technology and Media Production, and I have also been involved in the national evaluation of Norway’s recent curriculum reform in VET.
