About
Susanne Søholt is a political scientist. During the last years she has been working with migration, integration and segregation in urban and rural areas. The main focus has been on integration and segregation in the housing market, but also in neighbourhoods and in the labour market. Søholt is concerned with the different conditions for all categories of immigrants including asylum seekers, as well as the relationship between minorities and the majority.
Søholt also works with how migration influences and changes the bigger society as well as urban and rural areas. To put Norwegian experiences in perspective, Søholt favor national and international comparative projects. Previously, Søholt has worked with participation and pilot projects as a method for change.
