Gunnar Vittersø, PhD., is a senior researcher at SIFO. His research interests include sustainable consumption and food systems. Vittersø has been part of and led WPs in several major international projects funded by H2020 and Horizon Europe related to sustainable consumption, food systems and organic farming and food products, such as the projects Strength2Food, OrganicPLUS, ImprovAFish and the ERA project FOOdIVERSE

FOOdIVERSE: Diversifying sustainable and organic food systems
The purpose of the FOOdIVERSE project is to produce practice-oriented knowledge on how diversity in diets, novel food supply chains and food governance contributes to more organic and sustainable food systems.
Improving aquaculture sustainability by modulating the feed-microbiome-host axis in Fish
The ImprovAFish project takes a transdisciplinary approach to address critical knowledge gaps related to the feed-microbe-host-axis in Atlantic salmon aquaculture production.
Organic-PLUS
The aim of Organic-PLUS is minimising, and eventually phasing out contentious inputs from certified organic agriculture.
