About

Gun Roos is a nutritional anthropologist by training and she has been employed as Senior Researcher at SIFO since 1999. She holds a Ph.D. in nutritional anthropology on children’s food culture from the University of Kentucky. She is especially interested in interdisciplinary research addressing social and cultural aspects of food, health-related lifestyles and how different groups perceive and consume food in their everyday lives. She has researched and published on topics related to food and social inequalities, gender, children, migration, food labelling, nutrition policy and Norwegian food.
