About

I teach and research children's language development and the language environment in kindergartens, as well as language guidance at health centres, and am one of the leaders of the research group Language and Learning Environment in Early Years - ECEC to Primary School. I am particularly interested in children's multilingual development at home and in kindergarten, and have just completed a research project on Polish-Norwegian children in PolkaNorski. We've collected resources from this project on the website Flerspråklig barndom - Multilingual Childhood. I'm now working on the project Snakk: om barn på helsestasjonen (Talk: about language at the health centre), where we're investigating language guidance at health centres, especially for multilingual families, and the collaboration between kindergartens and health centres. I am also interested in developing students' skills in academic writing and reading of academic texts, co-writing, peer response and the use of colloquium groups, as well as the development of digital teaching methods.
